Our Watson Road "Peace Promisers" is a Social Justice Club. It is open to all intermediate students who wish to learn more about social justice. Our school's sponsor teacher is Ms. Walls.
The goal of our Peace Promisers is to increase student awareness of social justice issues, in an age appropriate and inspiring way. We encourage all students to realize that people of any age can make the world a better place. Watch for various social justice initiatives throughout the school year!

2020-2021: The Peace Promisers have been working hard this year!! Although the group looks different this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, we still exist and are working to make a difference in our community. Before Christmas, our community collected winter clothing and accessories during our Warm Up to Winter Fundraiser. We donated 16 huge bags full of winter clothing and accessories to Mamas for Mamas and the Kelowna Gospel Mission Thrift store. Both organizations were most grateful. Thank you for your generous donations! As well, the Peace Promisers also organized a special spirit day, "Donate to Celebrate" and again, our Watson Road community were generous and $900.00 was collected to support the Elizabeth Fry Society. Elizabeth Fry was incredibly grateful for our donation and were thrilled that we thought of them. Currently the Peace Promisers are learning all about Homelessness in our community. This is an area of interest of the group, and they are learning so they can teach others and inspire others to be respectful and to make a difference for others in our community. They are preparing information to share on Harmony Day. Look for another event coming to Watson Road in the near future that will help support this population of people in our community.
