PAC Constitution & Bylaws Revisions

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION TO AMEND WRE PAC BYLAWS

In accordance with the BC Society Act and current WRE PAC Bylaws Section 4.1-4.2 (Special Resolutions) and Section 11.2 (Constitutional and Bylaw Amendments), this message will serve as official notice of a Special Resolution to amend the WRE PAC Bylaws document. The Special Resolution will be voted on at the next PAC General meeting on 20 May 2021, 1 PM.

Current Bylaws Section 4.2 stipulates that PAC membership shall be notified of the Special Resolution at least fourteen (14) days prior to the meeting in which the Special Resolution will be voted upon; it further states that 75% of voting members present at the meeting must vote in favour of the resolution in order for it to pass.

As there have been no substantive revisions to the WRE PAC Bylaws since 2004, the proposed revisions are significant. Therefore, the best way to apprise yourself of the proposed changes is to read both the current document and the proposed revised version.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no proposed revisions to the Constitution.
